Eleventh Anniversary.
MARRIED—At Burr Oak, Iowa, Sept. 24th, 1884. John Ackerson and Miss Emma Wemett. Rev. Ross officiating.
On the evening of Sept. 14th the relatives, friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. John Ackerson deliberately took possession of their farm home greatly to their surprise. About fifty were present. The bride was at once seated in an elaborate rocker, a gift from the company. Mr. and Mrs. A. surrendered at once, giving up all past, present and almost future rights. The extension table was unfolded to its greatest extent and a bountiful repast was placed thereon by the ladies. The above mentioned farm home is the birth place of Mr. A.; from infancy he has known no other home. Mrs. A. spent her early life in the village of Burr Oak. That they may spend and witness happily together many more anniversaries as pleasant as the eleventh is the wish of the writer.
