OXLEY—OXLEY—At the home of the bride’s parents near Ossian, Iowa, Dec. 23rd, 1896, Mr. Edward H. Oxley, of Hancock Co., Iowa, and Miss Ida A. Oxley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Oxley, of Winneshiek Co., Iowa. Rev. E. Harper officiating.
Mr. Oxley is on industrious, well-to-do farmer by occupation, and a young man of good habits. Miss Ida has been a successful teacher in the public schools of Iowa, for some years, and is highly respected. The happy couple left on the morning train and will take up their abode in Hancock Co. Many well wishes will follow them. A singular co-incident is the fact that the name of the fathers of both bride and groom is Wm. Oxley but no relation, the groom’s parents being born and raised in London, England.
