Hegner-Hofer.
On Sunday evening last, at the residence of the bride’s sister in Chicago, Rev. Herman P. Hegner and Miss Bertha Hoffer were married. They departed immediately for a two months trip in the west, their destination being Portland, Oregon, where they will visit Mrs. Hegner’s brothers. On their return they will spend a few days in Decorah with Mr. Hegner’s parents. Herman was born and raised in Decorah, and since his removal to Chicago, he has become identified with the most excellent work of helping the poor in what is known as Chicago Commons. His bride comes from one of McGregor’s best families, and with her sister has been engaged in Kindergarten work in Chicago. The best wishes of Mr. Hegner’s friends here will follow them through life.
