Married at Minneapolis.
A happy matrimon{i}al event transpired last evening, March 25th at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gibbs, when their daughter, Miss Susie J. Gibbs, was united in marriage with Joseph Sharpless. At the hour for the ceremony, 5:45, the parlors were well filled with 100 friends, while Miss Bessie Fisher presided at the piano and announced the coming of the bridal train with the Mendelsshon march. Two little girls in white, carrying gilded shepherd crooks tied with white satin ribbon led the way. They were Miss Mabel Kellogg, of Sioux City, and Miss Pearl Smith, cousins of the bride. Miss Jessie M. Gibbs, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor. She wore pale blue organ{d}ie and carried pink roses. The bride was attired in white silk with pearl trimming and carried a bunch of lilies of the valley. Burdette B. Gibbs attended the bridegroom. Rev. H. W. Fraser, of Olivet Presbyterian Church officiated. The bride’s father gave her away. A number of handsome gifts were received, as both young people enjoy a wide circle of friends. Among the out of town guests at the wedding were: Mrs. Albert Kellogg, of Sioux City, Iowa: Mrs. R. A. Gibbs, Decorah, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Beebee and Mrs. Mildred Beebee. Mason City, Iowa.— Minneapolis Tribune.
