Secured a Bride In Northern Minnesota
Hinckley (Minn.,) Enterprise:—R. F. Tyler, of Decorah, Iowa, was united in marriage to Miss Mattie McKay of this place at the residence of the birde’s{sic} father D. S. McKay, on Tuesday, March 24th. Rev. S. A. Jimson, of Duluth officiating. The wedding was private, only a few of the intimate friends of the family being present. After the ceremony the happy couple drove to Rush City accompanied by A. M. Mapson and Miss Lena Nordeen, who saw them safely on board the limited for Saint Paul. Mrs. Tyler has been one of us for many years and is highly esteemed for her many good traits of character. Mr. Tyler is a son of a well to do stock raiser near Decorah, near which place they will make their new .home. The Enterprise joins with their friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous journey through life.
These young people arrived home last Friday and were greeted by the Upper Iowa Cornet Band and friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Tyler, where a splendid reception supper was served. In the evening a host of friends gathered to welcome them home and a very enjoyable evening was spent by all. Mr. and Mrs. Tyler received a number of valuable presents. They will occupy a part of the old Tyler homestead on Section 2 in this township, which Mr. T. has purchased.
