On the evening of the 27th a party of neighbors and friends celebrated the thirtieth wedding anniversa{r}y of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Pierce by a surprise visit at their home. A decorated dinner and tea set was the beautiful gift bestowed. Choice refreshments were served and there was much social enjoyment. At a late hour, wishing them many returns of the day, the party dispersed.
