FOLEY—CAROLAN.
At about the same time of the above event a similar one was being enacted at the home of Terrence Carolan in Bluffton township. It was the marriage of his youngest daughter, Miss Bridget, to Mr. Hugh Foley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Foley, Rev. Father Hawe, of Decorah, officiating. A large company was present to witness the ceremony, and many valuable presents evidenced the esteem in which the bride and groom are held. Guests were present from as far away as Minneapolis, and among those who came to help make merry were Rev. Fathers Norris, of Calmar, and Cooney, of Plymouth Rock. The day was spent in a pleasant manner and closed with a dance in the evening.
