—A son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Christopher and a daughter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. S. Marsh have brightened these homes during the past week.

—The news of the arrival of that baby girl at C. S. Marsh's, week before last, brought S. B. Ervin home, post haste, to greet his new granddaughter. He arrived Tuesday noon after a very pleasantly spent winter and summer in California. He comes back a regular California boomer, ready to sell climate in as big chunks as anyone wants,—all which means that he is so in love with that country that he will return thither as soon as he can get there.
