Celebrated Their Golden Wedding. Many of the older residents will recall Mr. and Mrs. B. Millward, who for a number of years lived in Decorah, but later moving to Minneapolis, where the family home has since been. On Oct. 22d they were permitted to enjoy that rare celebration, the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. The following account of the event appeared in the Minneapolis Journal of the 23d:
Mr. and Mrs. B. Millward, of 1900 Bryant avenue N., celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last evening, surrounded by their sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was a complete family re-union and a very pleasant time resulted. All present received a portrait button souvenir of the bride and groom. The decorations were yellow chrysanthemums, yellow roses and smilax. Those of the immediate family present were: J. Millward and family, of Calmar, Iowa, H. C. Reed and family, of Chicago, George H. Millward and family, of this city, William Millward and family, of Calmar, Iowa, J. C. Dorchester and wife, and Elizabeth Millward of this city.
Other relatives present were H. C. Reed, Jr., Benjamin Millward and family, I. Fellows and family, J. Brown and wife, William Cross and family, also H. W. Eaton and wife and Harry McCarty.
On account of the recent storm many of those invited could not be present
The old Decorah friends of Mr. and Mrs. Millward and children join in congratulations on the event.
