Hymeneal.
On Saturday evening, Nov. 5th, the marriage of Mr. Orin Porter and Miss Elsie A. Wingate took place at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. H. Wingate, thus uniting two of the most estimable families of northern Winneshiek, both of which have been for many years identified with the prog{r}essive interests of Burr Oak and vicinity, both in church and state. Mr. Porter is the oldest son of James Porter, of Burr Oak, but he has been for a number of years engaged in the real estate business in West Superior, Wis., the bride is the second daughter of the late Henry Wingate. She has been for the past two years engaged as stenographer for the law firm of Titus & McIntosh, also of West Superior. In consequence of the delicate state of Mrs. Wingate’s health and the recent affliction the family have passed through, the wedding guests were confined to a few of the near relatives and friends of the family. The ceremony was preformed{sp} by the Rev. Wm. Cum¬mings, pastor of the M. E. church. This writer joins the many friends of the bride and groom in extending con¬gratulations.
