Last week Wednesday, the 23d, was the twenty-fourth anniversary of the wedding day of Mr. and Mrs. Doctor Slack, and about three score of their friends met at their home in the evening in memory of the event. Tude Meader wits commander in chief of the forces, and it was needless to say that there was a genial tone in the preacher’s house that night. One of the pleasant features of the evening was a “gramophone" concert, followed by a free will offering of several big silver dollars which the master of ceremonies presented to the lady of the house. We had a good time and why not plan to meet at the same place next year for the silver anniversary.
