A private letter to the REPUBLICAN brings the intelligence that Mr. Geo. E. Smith and Mrs. Anna Kessey were married at the home of Mr. J. B. Funke, 210 North 7th Street, LaCrosse, last Saturday morning, Nov. 11th, at eleven o'clock by Rev. Farville, pastor of the Congregational church. Mr. and Mrs. Smith go to St. Paul to reside for the winter at least. Mr. Smith has accepted a position with one of the leading wholsale mercantile firms of that city and enters upon his duties at once.
Both he and his bride have many friends and associations in Decorah who regret that they have chosen a home elsewhere but join in wishing them all the happiness that married life with its most congenial surroundings can bring
