—Invitations were issued this week for the marriage at Pilot Mound, Iowa, on the 20th inst., of Miss Emma C. Dunkleburger and Philip V. H. Stoskopf, of Locust, this county. We can congratulate Miss Dunkleburger upon securing in her future husband one of the best young men in Pleasant township, and we have that confidence in Philip’s judgment to believe he has done no worse in selecting a wife. Our heartiest good wishes are extended.

MARRIED.
STOSKOPF-DUNKELBERGER - Mr. Philip Stoskopf from near Locust, Iowa, and Miss Emma Dunkelberger from Pilot Mound, lows, were married Wednesday, September 20th, 1899. at 7 P. M., Rev. E. J. Lang officiating.
The day was a model, and could not have been ordered better. The sun shone in all its brilliancy and but a few clouds were seen until toward evening, At about 1 o’clock the invited guests began coming and continued until 7 o'clock, when about 125 guests had found their way to Mr. E, Dunkelberger’s home. At the appointed time Mrs. E. J. Lang, of Charles City, played Mendelssohn's wedding march, and the groom with his bride leaning on his arm was led by James Pritchard, best man, and Mary Stoskopf, bridesmaid, to the hymeneal altar. The matrimonial knot was tied by Rev. E. J. Lang, of Charles City. Preceding this ceremony the pastor made n few remarks based on Josh 21: 15.
After receiving many congratulations the call from the dining room was heard for supper. Here the tables were groaning beneath their burdens, and they only ceased their groaning after the guests, among them several hungry preachers, had feasted, There was enough and to spare.
The bride was dressed in a lovely white costume and veil; and the groom was dressed in black, both appearing at their best. Miss Dunkelberger was the only daughter at home and is one of the most agreeable and gifted ladies in the community. She has scores of friends who wish her well on the voyage through life, and they are confident that their loss is Mr. Stoskopf’s gain,
Mr. Stoskopf is well known in and around Decorah and respected by all. He has many friends who congratulate him on his excellent choice. They received many valuable and useful presents.
The bridal couple departed from Pilot Mound, Saturday morning, on their short wedding trip to Palo Alto county, where they spent a few days visiting the bride’s brother. From there they went to Charles City, and were the guests of Rev. Lang for a short time. On Tuesday evening they arrived at their home near Locust, where they will at once go to housekeeping,
May their joys and pleasures be many and their sorrows and disappointments be few is the wish of their many friends.
