Cards received by Decorah friends last week conveyed an announcement more fully described in the following clipping from the Decatur (Mich.) Republican. Their friends here will wish them no end of joys—
Mr. Harry K, Riley, of Decorah, Io., and Miss Mae Cary, only daughter of Mrs. Matthew P. Cady of this village, were united in marriage at the home of the bride, Wednesday evening, July 2. The ceremony was preformed at 8 o’clock by Rev. Dr. Shields in the presence of about thirty relatives anti intimate friends. The home was nicely decorated with sunflowers, evergreen and ferns. Mr. Chas. Brigham acted as best man and Miss Lucy Cady as bridesmaid. The bride was handsomely attired in a dress of white organdie over yellow. After the ceremony ice cream and cake were served.
The bride and groom received a number of presents by which they will long hold in pleasant remberance the occasion and their friends.
They have not long been residents of our village but have made friends and many are the congratulations and best wishes for a happy future that are extended to them from their new associates.
