Last week Tuesday, June 6th, the marriage of Miss Mary Pitzenberger and Mr. A. A. Hrubety took place here. The bride is one of the best respected young ladles of this place. Several years she has been postmistress but has lately resigned. The groom is an enterprising business man of Manly, Iowa. After the marriage a reception and dinner was given at the home of the bride’s parents, and at six o’clock the{y} took the train for Mason City and then for the east. The young couple will make their future home at Manly. We all wish them success and happiness for their future life.

A Disgraceful Affair.
The marriage of Miss Pitzenberger, ex-postmistress of Festina, served as an occasion for one of those disgraceful affaire known as charivari; only this degenerated into an assault on the persons and property of the Pitzenberg household. The row was kept up until long after midnight, and finally ended by hurling stones at the house and stable, by which one of Mr. P.’s horses was seriously injured. Mr. P. says it is the same old gang that has made him trouble heretofore.
