Silver Wedding Anniversary.
To-morrow there will be a double silver wedding anniversary celebration near Locust. On January 27th, 1874, Messrs. and Mds. Chas. Falck and Philip Pfistcr, Jr., were married, the wedding being a double one. They have lived as neighbors and brothers- and sisters-in-law ever since and are now permitted to celebrate the twenty- fifth anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Pfister will entertain at dinner in honor of the occasion and in the evening the same guests will assemble at the Falck home. It goes without saying that the occasion is bound to be an exceedingly merry one.

Silver Wedding.
On Friday, Jan. 27th, there occurred at the home of Chas. Falk, who resides near Locust, an event that will long live in the memory of those present. It was on that day, twenty-five years since, Mr. and Mrs. Falk were united as one, the occasion was celebrated in a marriage which was in every way appropriate.
About sixty invited friends and relatives had gathered to help make merry, that evening, and, among them was another couple who were also celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. Philip Pfister, he being Mrs. Falk’s brother.
At six o’clock the guests were ushered into the dining room where they ate and drank from a table that was bountifully laden. Music, story-telling and games were pastimes of the evening and it would have been hard to find a crowd more joyful than this was. Rev. K. Seehuus spoke to the guests in words which well fitted the occasion. Many beautiful silver gifts were presented them and we can judge for ourselves with what esteem they are held by their many, many friends. Both couples are enjoying health and happiness and we hope they will enjoy these pleasures another quarter century, that they may celebrate their fiftieth anniversary.

Transcriber’s Note: The last name is spelled two different ways.
