At the residence of the bride’s parents, on the evening of Nov. 27th, Fred Johnson, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Frank Johnson, and Miss Esther Allen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen, were united in marriage, Dr. Philip Slack, pastor of the Friends’ church, officiating. There was a goodly company of relatives present to witness the ceremony, and the bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have spent their whole lives in this community, and their many friends are glad that they will remain among us.
