The marriage of Miss Emily Pearson and Mr. Fred W. Thomas was one of the events which has been anticipated for some time by their friends. It occurred Tuesday morning at the home of the bride’s mother, Rev. M. Willett officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas departed on the afternoon train for La Crosse, where they will spend a few days and then return to Mr. Thomas’ home two-and-a-half miles west of town. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Pearson and the groom is the only son in one of the oldest and most highly esteemed families of Decorah. The REPUBLICAN extends congratulations to this worthy couple.
