CONFERENCE APPOINTMENTS
Rev. T. E. Fleming, Presiding Elder for Decorah District.
The annual conference of the M. E. church for Upper Iowa closed Monday last Rev. Thomas E. Fleming, of Cedar Rapids, was appointed presiding elder for Decorah district. The appointment is a strong one. Rev. Fleming is what is slangily termed a “hustler” and if the district does not prosper under his administration it will certainly not be for lack of zeal or ability. Locally the church membership is to {be} congratulated upon the return of Rev. A. W. Smith to the Decorah charge. He has made friends both for the church and himself during his first year, and this is a good basis for better results in the future. Following are the appointments for other charges on the district.
