MARRIED.
GREMM—BUCKNELL— At the residence of Mr. James Bucknell, Tuesday evening, May 5th, 1875, Prof. F. J. D. Gremm and Emjly Bucknell, Rev. Woodworth officiating.
Thus read an item in the personal column of the REPUBLICAN of May 7th, 1875. On account of the event Frohsinn Singing Society, of which Mr. Gremm is instructor, planned a surprise suitable for a 25-year lease of married life which came off last Saturday night. While the singers of the society stormed the residence of the worthy couple in the rear, the ladles marched in the front door loaded with good things to eat. After quietness had been restored Mr. Otto Drexel, president of the society, in behalf of the members, presented Mr. and Mrs. Gremm with a beautiful silver tea set. The rest of the evening was spent in song and games which were thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The surprise planned was complete in every respect.
