On Tuesday, Feb. 27th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Egeland in West Decorah, occurred a quiet wedding, only a few immediate friends being present. The contracting parties were Miss Christina H. Stolle, of Clermont, Iowa, and Mr. R. G. Pederson, of Grand Meadow, Minn. At just three o’clock Miss Maggie Mellenty began playing the wedding march, and the bride and groom came into the parlor attended by Miss Josie Egeland as bridesmaid and Mr. Torsen, of Clermont, as best man, Rev. Mr. Otteson, of the Norwegian Lutheran church, spoke the words which made this happy couple one. At six o’clock a sumptuous wedding supper was served. The young couple took the nine o’clock train for their future home in Minnesota, where the groom is engaged in agriculture. The bride has a host of friends and admirers who wish her a happy journey through life, while the groom is a young man of fine appearance and good prospects, being a prosperous farmer in Minnesota.
