After a half century of “wedded bliss,” Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morrison, of Burr Oak, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding, last Saturday, the 8th. They have reared a family of seven sons and three daughters, all of whom are married, except the youngest son whose 19th birthday occured on this anniversary, and all were present with the exception of two sons-in-law. There are sixteen grandchildren, the most of whom were present. Besides those there were a number of friends and neighbors, about 75 in all, who gathered to congratulate them on reaching their golden wedding day and wish them many more wedding anniversaries. The children presented each of them with a gold watch and chain, and the other guests brought numerous tokens of their kind regards, including a purse containing $12.10. A bountiful wedding feast was spread to which all did ample justice.
