Wedding a{t} Ossian.
The morning sunshine shone brightly on a very pretty wedding scene at St. Francis de Sales church last Thursday, at 7:30 A. M. Kathryn V. Cahill and Chas. J. McGarry were united in marriage by the beautiful and impressive service of the Catholic church. They were accompanied by Miss Anna McGarry, cousin of the groom, and W. E. Cahill of Garwin, brother of the bride. The bride was dressed in a beautiful gown of white peau de soie with chiffon trimmings and carried white bridal roses. The bridesmaid wore white organdy and carried pink roses.
Miss Cahill is the daughter of one of Ossian’s oldest families, and has been brought up in our midst, so that her pleasant ways will be greatly missed
She has been one of Winnesheik Co’s. most faithful teachers for a number of years, and for the past two years has taught the primary department of the Ossian public school. The number of little children present at the marriage service will certify as to the loving regard in which she was hold by her scholars. Mr. McGarry is a young man from Milwaukee, courteous and genial, and in every way worthy of the trust he has assumed.
After the church service the relatives and a few intimate friends repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where an elegant breakfast was served.
Mr. and Mrs. McGarry left on the 10:40 train for St. Paul, from there they go to Devil’s Lake, N. D. to visit relatives. They will be at home after August 15th, in Milwaukee.
Ossian, June 30.
