Last Wednesday, May 22, 1901, at 4 o’clock p. m., at the home of the bride's mother, occurred the marriage of Mr. William Roy Birdsell, son of Jas. Birdsell, and Miss Mary Todd, daughter of Mrs. Luke Todd, Rev. Burgess officiating. Only relatives and immediate friends wore present, forty-three guests in all. Jas. Birdsell, Jr., and Mary Brandt acted as groomsman and bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in a mauve-colored gown and the groom wore black. A very fine and tempting supper was served immediately after the service. A goodly number of valuable presents were left for the happy pair, who are well deserving of the many notices they received. They have been raised in this community and are well respected and also well suited to each other. May they always be happy as they are now. Those from away who attended the wedding are Mr. and Mrs. Woolsey, of Castalia, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Allen, of Castalia, Isaac Birdsell, who was at Cedar Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Falsom, of Lybrand, Mrs. E. R. Anderson, of Decorah,
