Nellie O達rien, one of two girls who came to Calmar a short time ago from New York, supposibly to visit relatives but later to be followed by their father, became insane and was taken in charge by the authorities early last week. Communication with New York failed to receive any satisfactory reply. As a consequence, the local authorities considered it an endeavor to get rid of a troublesome patient and she was returned to New York last week. Albert Christen and Miss Jo Christen, brother and daughter of Sheriff Christen, took the girl in charge leaving here Thursday night and arriving home Tuesday morning. Mr. Christen informs us that she became quite violent before reaching New York. The other sister disappeared from Calmar and has not been heard of since.
