At 8:00 o’clock this evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs Gotfried Thielman at 800 Fourth street, Rev H. Dalb of the St John’s church will pronounce the words which shall join Miss Amalia C. Thielman to Mr. John M Teeling in the bonds of Hymen.
Miss Amalia Thielman belongs to one of the oldest and most highly respected families In Merrill, while the man she has chosen is well worthy of his handsome bride. She is a sister of Julius Theilman, ex-Mayor of Merrill, Robert Theilman, mayor of Tomahawk, and of Miss Amanda Theilman now Mrs. Fred Kyes, ex-assistant postmistress Merrill. During her residence in Merrill she has always been a popular lady and congratulations on to-day’s event will come from countless numbers of her friends. Her amiable ways have made her a friend of all who know her. May her future life be as full of well doing.
John Millard Teeling is a young man whose every acquisition in life has been through individual effort. His home is in Decorah, Iowa, but he has been a resident of this city since April, 1900. Coming to Merrill at that time he entered the employ of Hazes Bros., then proprietors of The Lincoln, as night clerk. After three week’s time Mr. Teellng was installed as day clerk and since that time he has most capably filled that position He is a universal favorite among the traveling fraternity while to Merrill people he is known as Jolly John Teellng.Transcriber’s Note: The bride’s maiden name is spelled two different ways.
