McKay-Jennisch Nuptials
At nine o’clock last Wednesday morning, in the Catholic Church in this city, Mr. Benjamin J. McKay, and Mrs. Grace A. Jennisch, both of this city, were united in marriage by Rev. Father Hawe. The church contained many tasty and beautiful decorations and the ceremony was witnessed by a church full of friends of the young couple. After the ceremony the wedding party was driven to the Jennisch home to receive congratulations and partake of dinner with their families and intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. McKay left on the Burlington for Chicago, where the honeymoon will be spent, after which they will return to Decorah and commence housekeeping.
Both the bride and groom have grown up from childhood in this city and are well-known. Mr. McKay, as book-keeper in the Citizen’s Saving Bank, has become a trusted employee and holds the esteem of many friends, while Miss Jennisch possesses all the graces of a lady in every sense of the word and is a popular favorite moong acquaintance. We wish them much joy.
