At 7:30 Tuesday evening, Aug. 5th, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Olson, occurred the marriage of Miss Edith Olson and Mr. Arthur E. Bishop, Rev. Paul Koren officiating, the ceremony taking place beneath a canopy of sweet peas, ferns and smilax. The bride wore an exquisite gown of white organdie and insertion, and was unattended. Lucile McRoberts and Olene Ellingson acted as Ribbon girls. About one hundred and twenty-five guests partook of the elaborate wedding supper which was served in the dining room, the table decorations consisting of strings of smilax and white satin ribbon interspersed with the palest pink sweet peas. The parlor was bedecked with white sweet peas and asparagus, the color effect in the sitting room being yellow and green. Mountain ash berries and greenery were effectively arranged in the dining room, and archways, beautifully festooned, and mantles banked, throughout the house. The bride and groom were the recipients of many elegant pieces of cut glass and silver. The best wishes of many Calmar friends will follow Mr. and Mrs. Bishop to their home in Minneapolis.
