At the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M R. Ringoen, on Thursday, June 12th, 1902, occurred the marriage of Miss Emma Ringoen to Mr. Lars Rue of Nora Springs. The house was very tastefully decorated with flowers, smilax, etc. At 4 o'clock Miss Lizzie Rue played a wedding march, the young couple took the places as¬signed them, and Rev. Xaxier{sp} performed the ceremony which united for life two of Ridgeway’s most esteemed young people. After the ceremony the guests were served with a very sumptuous wedding dinner, and the evening was spent very pleasantly until train time, when they all repaired to the depot. Here numerous friends met them with showers upon showers of rice and good will and all wished for Mr. and Mrs. Rue the choicest of earthly blessings. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and .Mrs. M. R. Ringoen and has always lived in Ridgeway. She was always well liked and her many friends will regret to have her leave us. Mr. Rue is a rising young lawyer of Nora Springs and also a professor in the Seminary at that place, he was was{sic} one of the Ridgeway boys of whom she feel justly proud and we are sure he will prove worthy of the bride he has won, Mr. and Mrs. Rue will be at home at Nora Springs after July 1.
