Winneshiekers Marry at West Union
This Wednesday afternoon at West Union will occur the marriage of two of Winneshiek county’s popular young people. Miss Florence Pierce, of Burr Oak township and Mr. William Hayes of Fremont township. They arrived in Decorah this morning and departed on this afternoon’s Rock Island train for West Union, where they will be married at four o’clock. Rev. Father Gallahu, of Plymouth Rock, accompanying them to perform the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Pierce of Burr Oak township, and is a young lady of many excelent qualities, possessed of a host of friends who extend congratulations and best wishes. The groom is a prominent and well known young farmer living near Plymouth Rock, and is a young man of sterling worth and character.
After a short honeymoon trip they will return and make their home on the groom’s farm near Plymouth Rock.— Decorah Public Opinion.
