At Decorah on Wednesday, Dee. 7, at 2 o’clock, occurred the marriage of Mr. G. E. Merrill and Miss Mabel J. Holm, both of this place. The ceremony was performed by Rev M. Willett at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. W Brunt, uncle and aunt of the groom. The groom is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Germond Merrill and is one of our enterprising young men, while the bride, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Holm, is possessed of a sunny disposition which has made her a general favorite among her associates. For a number of years she has been an able assistant in her father's store. The happy couple will make their home with the groom’s parents and start out on their matrimonial journey with the best wishes of their many friends for a happy and prosperous voyage.
