Hymeneal.
Tuesday morning at the St. Benedict Catholic church, Thomas H. Connor of Winfred, S. D., and Miss Mary Curran were united in marriage by Rev. Father Hawe. Mr. and Mrs. Connor departed for St. Louis on the morning train but will return to Decorah to spend the winter. The story is told that twenty-three years ago when the groom lived in Allamakee county and the bride resided on her father’s farm in Glenwood township they were sweethearts, and during the years of the groom’s absence they have remained faithful to each other. Surely there ought to be much happiness to make up for such a long separation—a happiness in which all of their friends join most heartily in wishing them.
