Miss Marion Day Married.
The old Decorah friends of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Day will be interested in the following notice which appeared in the Duluth Herald of last Friday, Nov. 11th.
Last evening one of the most beautiful weddings of the fall season took place at the Spaulding when Miss Marion Day, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Floyd Day became the bride of William Foster Huntting, of Van Couver.
The parlor of the hotel in which the wedding took place was decorated in great clusters of yellow and white chrysanthemums. The recess formed by the windows was converted into an arch of flowers and here the service was read by Rev H. S. Webster. Flaaten's orchestra played the wedding music from "Lohrengrin” as the wed¬ing party entered. The ribbon bearers entered first. They were Miss Grace Busbee and Miss Ethleen Fee together and then Miss Ellie Smith and Miss Laura Robb of Minneapolis. They stood at either side and the rest of the party walked down the aisle formed in. The groom and his best man, Munson Burdick, of Chicago, entered and were followed by the bridesmaids, Miss Lou Smallwood and Miss Jane Pine, of Iowa. The maid of honor, Miss Bessie Balliet, of Iowa, followed and last came the birde{sic} with her father The color scheme was followed in the gowns of the wedding party.
The bride wore an exquisite gown of chiffon with dainty applique. She wore a veil and carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and her only ornament was a pearl heart, the gift of the groom. The maid of honor wore a gown with yellow girdles and all the attendants carried yellow chrysanthemums.
A wedding supper was served in the dining room of the Spaulding following the ceremony and later the guests danced. Mr. and Mrs. Huntting left during the evening for a wedding trip and later will go to Van Couver where they will be at home.
