Wm. Trouten and Iora Jacklen were united in marriage Wednesday evening at the home of the bride’s father, Henry Jacklen, in the north part of our township, Rev. Thompson officiating. In spite of the hard rain something near one hundred invited guests were present. Both bride and groom have grown from childhood near Kendallville and are held in the highest esteem by all. The bride was dressed in white mousseline. The bridesmaid was the bride’s sister Annie, the groomsman James Trouten, brother of the bridegroom. The happy couple go to housekeeping on the Jacklen farm.

Transcriber’s Note: The bride’s first name is shown two different ways; however, searching in Find a Grave it is shown as Zora and her maiden name as Jacklin.
