At the hour of half-past three on Tuesday, May 24, at the home of the bride’s mother, Miss Rose Kornmeyer, youngest daughter of Mrs. B. Kornmeyer, and Alfred Callender of Ocheyedan were united in marriage, Rev. Father Hawe officiating. The bride was attended by Miss Viola Kratzer of Ocheyedan and Miss Anna Kornmeyer, and the groom by his brother, Clarence Callender of Ocheyedan, and Bernard Kornmeyer. The ceremony was witnessed by immediate relatives only Mr. and Mrs. Callender departed on the evening train for St. Louis where they will spend their honeymoon
The bride’s home has always been in Decorah and she will take with her to Ocheyedan the good wishes of all who enjoy her acquaintance. The groom is one of Ocheyedan’s business men and bears the official titles of city marshal and deputy sheriff of Osceola county. He was a former resident of Frankville and has many friends here who join in wishing him and his bride a long and happy married life.
