THE FAY-SCHULZE NUPTIALS.
A Great Social Event at Virginia, Minn., in which a Decorah Boy Figures.
The Enterprise published at Virginia, up in the iron range of Minnesota, comes to us with a long account of the marriage of Mr. William J. Schulze, of this city and Miss Clara E. Fay, of that city. Clearly from the report it was a social event of more than usual interest. The Enterprise says:--
The home was handsomely decorated for the occasion with narcissus, lilies and smllax, the color scheme throughout being green and white. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. Ryan, of the Episcopal diocese of Duluth, the bridal party appearing to the beauteous strains of Lohengrin and Mendelssohn’s wedding marches by the DuBrosse orchestra, marching through an aisle of twelve attendants comprising Miss Abbie Smith and Miss Daisy Garland as ribbon girls, Miss Frances Parmalee, Miss Mabelle Reid, Miss Ellie Crawshaw. Miss Margaret Beatty, Miss Zelma Daum, Miss Myrtle Butchart, Miss Emma G. Stevens, Miss Irene Bagnell, Miss Pearl Wllmot and Mrs. P. F. Chamberlain, gowned in white, being preceded by little Charles Marcus Fay, in a striking Lord Fauntleroy suit, as ring bearer. The bride was arrayed in a beautiful gown of crepe de chene and silk cluny lace, studded with pearls, with bridal veil, and carried a handsome shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and maiden hair fern. She was attended by Miss Gertrude Butchart, of Duluth, as maid of honor, becomingly dressed In embroidered silk mull with yoke of turquoise blue fagotting. The bride was given away by her father. The groom, in conventional black, was attended by George M. Fay, a brother of the bride, the impressive Episcopalian ring ceremony being performed in the alcove in the east parlor beneath festoons of smilax and Easter lilies,
Mr. and Mrs. Schulze left the following morning for Mt. Iron, taking the noon train for a short trip to the groom’s former home at Decorah, Iowa, and will also visit for a time at Forest City before their return, taking with them the best wishes of a host of Virginia friends and admirers. Many handsome presents will serve to remind them of former friendships throughout life, which all wish may he a long, happy one. Upon their return they will be “At Home" at the Stephens after May 1st.
Mr Schulze holds the important position of local superintendent of the Stephens mine of the U S. Steel Corporation at Colby, Minn. The bride is referred to in a Duluth telegram as the "daughter of a mine millionaire."
