MARRIED AT VICTORIA.
Harry Blodg{e}tt of Decorah and Miss Bessie Holland.—Will Visit Relatives Here Soon.
At Victoria, B. C., on the 4th inst.. Harry A Blodgett and Miss Bessie Holland of Liverpool, England, were united in marriage. Of this event the Victoria Times says:
A quiet but very pretty wedding was solemnized at the residence of the bride’s brother, No. 208 Dallas road, last evening, Feb. 3, when Harry A, Blodgett, son of Lewis Blodgett of Decorah, Iowa, and Miss Bessie Holland, youngest daughter of the late James Holland of Liverpool, England, were joined in marriage by Rev. Percival Jenns. Miss Nellie Scrowcroft and James Holland, niece and nephew of the bride, supported the young couple, while the bride was given away by her brother-in-law.
After the sumptuous supper the health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by S. M. Okell, all wishing the couple much happiness.
The presents were numerous and costly showing how highly both young people were esteemed. It is the intention of Mr. and Mrs. Blodgett to leave for Decorah on the 11th for a short visit, then go to Minneapolis, where they will make their home.
In his boyhood home Mr. Blodgett has many friends who learn of their wedding with grate{sic} pleasure and with feelings of true congratulations which they will hasten to express upon his arrival here next week.
