DIXON-STORTZ.
Last Saturday evening at six o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Cutting, Miss Emma Stortz and Mr. Clarence A. Dixon were united in marriage, Rev. M. Willett officiating. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stortz and was born in Canoe township, where most of her life has been spent. During the past few years she has been a stenographer for the International Harvester Co., first at Cedar Falls and later at Mankato, Minn. It was at the latter place that she met the gentleman who became her husband on Saturday last. They were co-laborers in the same office. Mr. Dixon being bookkeeper for the company. He has recently received a splendid promotion in the company’s service—that of manager of their office in London, England. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon departed at 9:45 Saturday evening for Chicago where Mr. Dixon will receive final instructions and they will said{sic} for England Saturday of this week. Miss Stortz enjoyed the esteem of a large circle of acquaintances in and about Decorah, all of whom join in hearty congratulations and good wishes.
