MARRIED.
YOUMANS—STEVENS—At the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. E. O. Stevens, near Freeport, Iowa, Nov. 8th, 1905, Mr. Edwin Youmans and Miss Vila Stevens, both of Winneshiek county, Iowa, Rev. C. W. Burgess of Lime Springs, Iowa, officiating.Source: Decorah Republican Nov. 16, 1905 P11 C2
At the home of the bride’s mother, Nov. 8th, 1905, occurred the marriage of Miss Vila Stevens, youngest daughter of Mrs. E. O. Stevens of Freeport, and Ed. Youmans of Pinchville, Rev. Burgess of Austin, Minn., officiating. Besides the immediate relatives of the family a few of the bride’s girlhood friends were present and after partaking of a bountiful repast the guests departed for their homes, leaving numerous useful presents and wishes for a long and prosperous wedded life, in which their numerous friends join. The happy couple went to their home on the farm near Ossion{sic} on Thursday morning.

Last Wednesday occurred the marriage of Mr. Ed. Yoemans from here to Miss Vila Stevens of Freeport; The wedding took place at the home of the bride’s mother. The happy couple will make their home on the farm which Mr. Yoeman lately purchased from Isaac Birdsell. We congratulate.
