Last Thursday, Oct. 12th, occurred the marriage of Halvor Saarsland to Miss Malina Brown at the Washington Prairie church, Rev. Koren officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brown and is well and favorably known. She is an accomplished young woman, well qualified to grace her husband’s home, and will make him a loving and dutiful wife. The groom is one of our best young men, and we consider him exceedingly fortunate in securing so good a life companion. After the wedding ceremony they repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where the festivities were held, about two hundred being present. Mr. and Mrs. Saarsland will make their home on their Ravena farm, where the groom has prepared a comfortable dwelling. May their life’s journey be a happy one.
