CANFIELD—JORDAN Under the above head in last Friday's issue of the Omaha Bee appeared the following notice of the marriage of Miss Florence Jordan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Jordan, former residents of Decorah and Waukon:
A beautiful home wedding was solemnized Wednesday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Jordan, 1618 South Tenth street, which made their daughter, Miss Florence Jordan, the wife of Mr. George Canfield of Corning, Cal. The bridal party was preceded by members of the X. T. C. and LaSamedi clubs, each carrying American Beauty roses and singing the wedding march, Miss Rockfellow presiding at the piano. Of the bridal party Master Willard Butts came first carrying the ring, Miss Laura Jordan as maid of honor came next, gowned in pink silk crepe and carrying pink roses. The bridesmaids—Miss Myrtle Topliff, in a gown of green silk neolian, and Miss Lillie Jordan, wearing a frock of yellow silk mull—came next, each carrying golden gate roses. The bride came last, gowned in soft white satan{sic} with trimmings of lace and carrying a shower of roses. Before an improvised altar of palms the groom, accompanied by Dr. Peter, met the bridal party and Rev Philip Davidson of St, Matthias’ church performed the ceremony. A reception to about 150 guests followed the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Canfield, after visiting Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, will go to their future home at Corning, Cal.
