Hymeneal.
Yesterday morning at nine o’clock at the parental home of the bride, Miss Alma Johnson and Prof. Thorwald S. Thompson were united in marriage by Rev. J. O. Hougen of the United Lutheran church. The ceremony was witnessed by a small company of intimate friends and relatives, and after the wedding breakfast, Prof. and Mrs. Thompson departed for St. Paul and Thief River Falls, Minn., for brief visits with relatives. Their honeymoon will be spent at the summer home of Prof. Thompson on the shore of Red Lake.
The bride is the older daughter of Mr. Peter Johnson, and during the years that the family has resided in Decorah she has drawn around her the esteem and friendship of a large circle of acquaintances. Prof. Thompson is a gentleman of high educational attainments and in every respect worthy of the young lady who he has won for a bride. The REPUBLICAN extends its heartiest congratulations and wishes for them a long life of happiness and prosperity.
