Last Monday afternoon and evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Steffes in this city was celebrated the 86th birthday of Joseph Haubrick Sr., at which were present some of the neighbors and the following relatives: a daughter, Mrs. Rink and her husband, Henry Rink and Henry’s father Peter Rink, a son, Joseph Haubrick Jr. of Cresco, and another daughter, Mrs. Theo. Smith, husband and three children, living near Fort Atkinson. An elaborate supper was spread for the guests to which all did justice. All evidently had a good time. Mr. Haubrick certainly looks hale and hearty for a man of that age, and is as spry as most men at 60 years of age. —Calmar Courier.
