St. Aloysius church was the scene of a pretty wedding, Wednesday morning, July 11th, at about 9 o’clock, Rev. Ryan officiating, the groom being Dr. Martin V. Havel, of Montgomery, Minn. , and the bride Miss Antoinette Thaler, daughter of Prof. J. Thaler, of Calmar. Last Tuesday was Prof. Thaler’s 49th birthday and the band boys went down to his home in the evening and serenaded him. The serenade was also applied to the bride and groom elect, Dr. Havel and Miss Nettle Thaler, who were wedded the following morning. The boys were royally treated by the Thaler household and by Dr. Havel.—Calmar Courier.
