STATE NEWS

Wm. McClintock, Mr. Seeley and a boy were at work with a threshing machine in Winneschiek County, the other day. Mr. Mac and the boy got into a quarrel, when Seeley interfered, with a remark that Mac better quarrel with someone his own size. At that Mac struck Seeley with a bar of iron on the arm; the later turned upon McClintock with a club, and broke his skull with it. McClintock died three hours after.
