On Thanksgiving day, Nov. 26, 1914, at 2 o’clock at the Orleans Lutheran church, Miss Marie Benson and Edward Gerber were united in marriage. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Benson, and is a well known and respected young lady.
The groom is a fine young man, a former resident of Lincoln township. A sister of the bride, Miss Alma Benson, and a sister of the groom, Miss Alma Gerber, were the bridesmaids and Wm. Gerber and Olaf Benson the groomsmen. About 200 friends and relatives gathered at the home of the bride’s parents, where supper was served and a very delightful evening was spent.
The young couple received many beautiful presents. That their married life may be a long, prosperous and happy one is the wish of a host of friends.
