Mr. Charles F. Quinn and Miss Clara Spillman were united in marriage Tuesday morning, June 30, 1914, in St. Francis de Sales church, Ossian, Iowa, Rev. Father Ambrosy, of St. Joseph's college, Dubuque who has charge of Francis parish during the absence of Rev M. J. Thiltgen, D. D. performing the ceremony. They were attended by Mr. Greg. Figge and Miss Zephy Fleischer.
At the conclusion of the ceremony at the church the bridal party went to the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Spillman, where a reception was given to relatives only. The many presents received by the newly married couple were numerous and handsome as well as valuable, among the presents being $500 presented to them by Mr. Spillman. In the evening the Ossian band called at the home and rendered several musical selections in honor of the occasion.
The bride is one of Ossian’s good young ladies, esteemed by all who know her. The groom for several years has been employed at Gunderson's drug store as jeweler, during which time he has made many warm friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Quinn left yesterday for Cresco where they will remain for some time, the guest of Mr. Quinn's mother. Just where they will make their home we have not been informed, and regret that they will not remain among us; but wherever they go the hearty good wishes for a happy and prosperous wedded life will follow them, in which the Bee heartily joins.
—Ossian Bee.-
