103 years old

At Decorah, Mrs. Emily Stortz, the city's oldest president, recently observed her 103rd birthday. Mrs. Stortz, now a partial invalid, came to Winneshiek County 93 years ago. At Bagley, John Patterson has also joined the century ranks and observed his 100th birthday December 23. He came to Bagley in 1899.
