Sarah Grace Taylor
August 18, 1885 - September 28, 1943Sarah Grace Taylor, daughter of the late J.J. and Sarah E. Jewett Taylor, was born August 18, 1885, at Pleasant View Home in Forest township, Winnebago county, Iowa, and died there September 28, 1943.
She spent nearly her entire life in this farm home, having come home as soon as she graduated from college to keep house, first for her mother and father, and after her mother died in 1924, she continued to make a home for her father and look after his comfort until his death in 1936. After that she kept house for her brother, W.J. Taylor, as long as she was able.
While she was not a member of any church, she was associated with the Methodist church and tried to follow the teachings of her Savior ever since she accepted him in early life.
She leaves her brother, W. J. Taylor, on the home farm; her sisters, Mrs. Nels Nelson of Forest City, and Mrs. E. L. Kelley, of Saginaw, Michigan besides a number of nieces and nephews, their families, and other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Pettersen, assisted by Rev. Seward, at the Methodist church at 2:00 pm, Oct. 1, 1943. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
