CRYSTAL LAKE - Robert (Bob) Eugene Enright, age 82 of Crystal Lake, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Crystal Lake on April 24, 2010, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 2, 1927, in Rinard, Iowa, to Rose Stoll Enright and John Enright.

Bob was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and proudly served in World War II and the Korean War. He received a Purple Heart for his service and was a member of an elite team of 30 Marines (Underwater Demolition Team) who traveled the world with the Navy and surveyed the shores on land and under water. After World War II he received a thank you letter from President Harry S. Truman for fortitude, resourcefulness and calm judgment.

His profession in civilian life was as a printer. In 1957 he received an Excellence of Lithography Award. Bob enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and master gardener: he could literally grow anything.

After retirement Bob and Dorothy traveled the United States in a motor home, settled in southern California for many years, and then came to live in Crystal Lake, Iowa, near his home town of Forest City, Iowa.
